About aged.org.uk

Welcome to aged.org.uk — a friendly, trustworthy place created to help older people in the UK stay safe, confident, and connected online and in everyday life.

My name’s John, and I started this website after helping my own nan avoid a phone scam. What began as a few tips scribbled on a notepad turned into something bigger — a free, easy-to-understand resource where older people (and their families) can find real advice they can actually trust.

Why I Created aged.org.uk

The internet can be a confusing and sometimes risky place — full of pop-ups, fake emails, and too-good-to-be-true offers. Many of the people I care about were feeling left behind by technology or didn’t know who to turn to for simple, honest guidance.

So, I decided to build something different: a safe online space where we cut out the jargon and just explain things clearly — from spotting scams to making sense of pensions, using WhatsApp, or finding new hobbies.
